Anxiety seems to be an issue that is becoming even more frequent in our society, Anxiety has impacted on me at times to such a degree that there were times when I didn't even want to get out of bed. Usually it had to do with things that were happening beyond my control. I seemed to be finding myself focused on issues coming up in the future that were affecting me internally.

I spent a lot of time worrying internally worrying about the future forgeting about the here and now. I would forget to be present. Here is a technique that I found to be grounding, and helped to return my focus back to the present.

Its called the 5-4-3-2-1 coping technique. 1) Acknowledge 5 things around you ie your phone, TV table, chair, mirror, couch. 2) Acknowledge 4 things you can touch around you. 3) Acknowledge 3 things you can hear, 2) Acknowledge 2 things you can smell. 1) Acknowledge 1 thing you can taste. I found this exercise very grounding...I hope it helps.

People can look at you and not see the internal struggle. They see wht we want them to see. A fasard or mask, or even just what they want to see. Some don't believe the struggle is real until itvs too late. It can be good for some time then BOOM back to the beginning. I have aniety bjt unless you truely know mw, ask me through conversatio, or I break in front of you, you won't know.

I appreciate your work, effort and honesty around this subject.

I will definately follow your work, consider your ideas and appriciate your friendship.
